Nursing Home Administrator Continuing Education

Hours: 40 Hours
Frequency: Biennially

 

Attested documentation of the completion of a minimum of 40 clock hours of continuing education in subjects related to nursing home administration in the 2 years which immediately precede the application for renewal of license;

Administrator Continuing Education

Hours: 12 Hours
Frequency: Annually

 

All administrators shall obtain and document 12 hours of continuing education related to the operation and services of the ALR-RC each annual licensing period, complying with: 

The licensee shall provide all personnel with an annual continuing education or in-service education training, which at a minimum contains the following:

1. The licensee’s resident’s rights and complaint procedures required under RSA 151;

2. The licensee’s infection control program; and

3. The licensee’s written emergency plan.

4. The licensee shall provide an annual review of its policies and procedures for self-administration of medication, self-administration of medication with supervision and self-directed medication administration to all direct care personnel.

All Staff Continuing Education

Hours: Topic Specific
Frequency: Annually

 

1. The licensee’s resident’s rights and complaint procedures required under RSA 151;

2. The licensee’s infection control program; and 

3. The licensee’s written emergency plan;

4. The mandatory reporting requirements including Adult Abuse and persons required to report

Direct Care Staff Continuing Education

Hours: Topic Specific
Frequency: Annually

 

1. The licensee’s resident’s rights and complaint procedures

2. The licensee’s infection control program; and

RN/LPN Continuing Education

Hours: 30 Hours
Frequency: Biennially

 

At least 30 contact hours of continuing education within the 2 years immediately preceding the application.
