Home Health Aide Continuing Education

Hours: 12 Hours
Frequency: Annually

In addition to meeting the training and competency evaluation or competency evaluation requirements in section 33-03-10.1-18, individuals providing home health aide services must receive twelve hours of in-service education within a twelve-month period.

a. This in-service education may occur while the aide is furnishing care to the patient.
b. In-service training must be supervised by a registered nurse with a minimum of two years' experience, one of which is in the provision of home health services.
